FundWise Money Finder is operated by Fundwise Capital LLC ("FundWise," "we," "us," or "our"), a Utah limited liability company. Our principal place of business is 130 North University Avenue, Provo, Utah 84601. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information when you visit money.fundwise.com (the "Site") or use any of our services (collectively, the "Services").

2. Scope of This Policy
This Policy applies to all visitors, users, and affiliates who interact with the Site or Services, including:
- Business owners who complete the FundWise Money Finder quiz;
- Individuals who create an affiliate account at fundwise.com/affiliates; and
- Anyone who browses the Site, contacts us, or engages with our communications.
This Policy does not apply to third-party websites or services that we link to. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party sites you visit.
3. Information We Collect
3.1 Information You Provide Directly
We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide, including:
- Identity data: first name, last name;
- Contact data: email address, phone number;
- Business data: company name, industry, state of operation, number of employees, whether you own commercial real estate, whether employees receive tips, whether your business conducts research and development activities, and estimated property values;
- Account data: username, password (stored in hashed form), affiliate referral information; and
- Communications: messages you send us via email, chat, or contact forms.
3.2 Information Collected Automatically
When you visit the Site, we and our service providers automatically collect certain technical data, including:
- Log data: IP address, browser type and version, operating system, referring URLs, pages viewed, and time spent on pages;
- Device data: device identifiers, screen resolution, and connection type;
- Usage data: how you interact with the Site, quiz completion status, links clicked, and campaign engagement (email opens, clicks, replies); and
- Cookie and tracking data: see Section 5 (Cookies) below.
3.3 Information from Third Parties
We may receive information about you from third-party sources, including:
- Data enrichment providers (such as Apollo.io): company and contact information to supplement your profile;
- Email verification providers (such as ZeroBounce): to verify that email addresses are valid before we contact you;
- Payment processors (Stripe): limited transaction confirmation data (we do not receive or store full payment card details); and
- Analytics providers (Google Analytics): aggregated and anonymized website usage statistics.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use the personal information we collect for the following purposes:
4.1 To Provide the Services
- Process and respond to your quiz submissions and provide estimated tax credit eligibility information;
- Create and manage your affiliate account;
- Coordinate a free tax credit program analysis on your behalf with our tax credit specialists;
- Send you information about tax credit programs that may be relevant to your business;
- Process affiliate commissions and maintain commission records; and
- Authenticate your identity and secure your account.
4.2 For Marketing and Communications
- Send you emails, SMS messages (with your consent), and other communications about tax credit programs and platform updates;
- Deliver personalized outreach campaigns based on your business profile and program eligibility;
- Send appointment reminders and follow-up communications; and
- Share affiliate platform news, feature updates, and promotional materials.
4.3 For Analytics and Improvement
- Analyze how users interact with the Site and Services to improve our quiz, campaigns, and platform features;
- Conduct A/B testing on messaging and user experience; and
- Monitor platform performance and troubleshoot technical issues.
4.4 For Legal and Compliance Purposes
- Comply with applicable laws and regulations, including CAN-SPAM, TCPA, and applicable state privacy laws;
- Enforce our Terms of Service and other agreements;
- Respond to legal process, court orders, or lawful requests from government authorities; and
- Protect the rights, property, and safety of FundWise, our users, and the public.
4.5 Legal Basis for Processing
We process your personal information on the following legal bases:
- Contract: processing necessary to fulfill our obligations to you as a quiz user or affiliate;
- Legitimate interests: analytics, platform improvement, and business outreach, balanced against your privacy rights;
- Consent: where we rely on your consent (e.g., SMS marketing), which you may withdraw at any time; and
- Legal obligation: compliance with applicable law.
5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use cookies and similar tracking technologies on the Site. Cookies are small text files stored on your device that help us recognize you and remember your preferences.
5.1 Types of Cookies We Use
- Strictly necessary cookies: required for the Site to function (e.g., authentication sessions, quiz progress). You cannot opt out of these.
- Analytics cookies: Google Analytics uses cookies to collect anonymized information about how visitors use the Site (pages visited, time on site, referral source). Google's data practices are governed by Google's Privacy Policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
- Marketing cookies: We plan to implement Meta (Facebook) Pixel and similar advertising cookies to measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns. When implemented, these cookies will track your visit for ad attribution purposes. We will update this Policy and provide opt-out options before implementing marketing cookies.
5.2 Managing Cookies
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to refuse new cookies, delete existing cookies, or be notified when a new cookie is set. Note that disabling cookies may affect the functionality of the Site. Additionally:
- Google Analytics opt-out: You can install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
- Do Not Track: Our Site currently does not respond to "Do Not Track" signals from browsers. We will update this section if our practices change.
6. SMS and Email Communications
6.1 Email
By completing the Money Finder quiz or creating an affiliate account, you agree to receive email communications from us regarding tax credit programs and the FundWise platform. Every marketing email we send includes an unsubscribe mechanism. You may opt out at any time by clicking "unsubscribe" in any email or by contacting us at legal@fundwise.com. We process opt-outs within 10 business days.
6.2 SMS and Text Messages
We will only send SMS or WhatsApp messages to you if you have expressly opted in to receive them. Opt-in may occur through:
- Checking the SMS consent checkbox on the Money Finder quiz lead capture form;
- Replying "YES" to an email or text requesting SMS permission; or
- Checking the applicable consent box during affiliate account creation.
Standard message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. You may opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any text message we send. After opting out, you will receive one confirmation message and no further SMS messages. You may opt back in at any time by replying START.
7. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share your information only in the following circumstances:
7.1 With Tax Credit Specialists
If you express interest in a tax credit program, we will share your contact and business information with the tax credit specialists who conduct the free eligibility analysis on your behalf. Their use of your information is governed by their own privacy policies. By submitting the quiz and requesting an analysis, you consent to this sharing.
7.2 With Service Providers
We share information with third-party vendors who help us operate the Site and Services, including:
- Cloud infrastructure: Supabase (database hosting);
- Email delivery: Brevo, Instantly.ai;
- SMS delivery: Twilio;
- Payment processing: Stripe (your payment card information is processed directly by Stripe and is not stored by FundWise);
- Analytics: Google Analytics;
- Email verification: ZeroBounce;
- Lead enrichment: Apollo.io;
- Voicemail delivery: Slybroadcast; and
- Social media scheduling: Buffer.
All service providers are contractually required to protect your information and use it only for the purposes for which it was shared.
7.3 With Affiliates and Sub-Affiliates
If you sign up as an affiliate and recruit sub-affiliates through the FundWise platform, those sub-affiliates will be visible in your dashboard. Lead data you upload to the platform is accessible only to your account and to FundWise administrators — not to other affiliates.
7.4 For Legal Reasons
We may disclose your information if required by law, subpoena, court order, or other legal process, or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others, or to detect and prevent fraud.
7.5 Business Transfers
If FundWise is involved in a merger, acquisition, sale of assets, or bankruptcy, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you via email and/or prominent notice on the Site if a transfer occurs and this Policy changes as a result.
8. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, including:
- Quiz completion data: retained for 3 years from the date of submission, or until you request deletion;
- Affiliate account data: retained for the duration of your account plus 3 years after closure;
- Campaign and outreach records: retained for 3 years;
- Commission records: retained for 7 years for tax and accounting purposes; and
- Communications logs: retained for 2 years.
After the applicable retention period, we will securely delete or anonymize your information.
9. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your state of residence, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:
- Access: request a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
- Correction: request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete information;
- Deletion: request that we delete your personal information, subject to certain legal exceptions (e.g., we may retain records required by law);
- Opt-out of marketing: unsubscribe from email or SMS marketing at any time (see Section 6);
- Data portability: request your information in a structured, machine-readable format; and
- Non-discrimination: we will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.

9.1 Utah Consumer Privacy Act (UCPA)
As a Utah company serving primarily Utah-based and US-based users, we comply with the Utah Consumer Privacy Act (Utah Code Ann. § 13-61-101 et seq.), effective December 31, 2023. Utah residents have the rights described in Section 9 above. To submit a verifiable consumer request, contact us at legal@fundwise.com. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may appeal by submitting a written request to the same address.
9.2 California Residents
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA) may provide you additional rights. We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising (other than through analytics cookies described in Section 5). California residents may submit rights requests at legal@fundwise.com.
10. Children's Privacy
The Site and Services are intended only for users who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 18. If we become aware that we have collected information from a person under 18, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a minor has submitted information to us, contact us at legal@fundwise.com.
11. Security
We implement commercially reasonable technical, administrative, and organizational security measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. These measures include encrypted data transmission (TLS/HTTPS), hashed password storage, row-level database security, and access controls limiting employee access to personal data on a need-to-know basis.
No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security. In the event of a data breach that affects your rights, we will notify you as required by applicable law.
12. Third-Party Links
The Site may contain links to third-party websites, including external booking pages and the TMS calculator. These links are provided for your convenience. FundWise does not control and is not responsible for the privacy practices or content of third-party sites. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party sites you visit.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this Policy and, where appropriate, by sending an email notification to the email address associated with your account. Your continued use of the Site or Services after the effective date of the updated Policy constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
